We’re so proud of these swift-footed IAMS employees and their families who participated in Saturday’s 42nd Annual Omaha Corporate Cup run/walk to benefit the American Lung Association – Nebraska! The event raised more than $170,000 total for research, education, and advocacy that supports the ALA’s mission. Way to go! ?ââïž??ââïž
For our January fundraiser, IAMS employees teamed up with Food Bank for the Heartland to fight hunger in our region! The nonprofit has served the Omaha area since 1981 and together with local partners provides emergency and supplemental food to children, families, seniors, and veterans in need.
On February 20, IAMS presented a check for $500 â the equivalent of 2,100 meals â to Philanthropy Officer Ryan Lally, as well as more than 250 pounds of donated food for 208 additional meals.

IAMS chose the Omaha chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) for our December employee fundraiser! The organization builds, assembles and delivers top-notch bunk beds and bedding for children and families in need nationwide.
On Jan. 13, chapter co-president Jenni Riffel visited the IAMS office to accept a $4,000 check for SHP â which volunteers can use to build beds for 16 Omaha-area kids, each with a mattress, pillow, sheet set and comforter for a cozy nightâs sleep. IAMS’ November employee fundraiser benefited the Lydia House Women & Family Center at Open Door Mission here in Omaha! We were pleased to present a $6,000 check to Bill Underwood this morning at our home office and want to thank everyone at Open Door for their vital work providing shelter, safety and services to individuals and families in need.
IAMS EVP Chris Conroy was pleased to be at the Nebraska State Capitol on Monday, July 11 as Governor Pete Ricketts recognized June as Annuity Awareness Month in the state. Chris shared the importance of annuities that provide principal protection and a source of guaranteed income for life for the state’s many retirees. Watch as he accepts the Proclamation from Gov. Captained by Senior Annuity Case Manager McKinzee Abbott, IAMS was well-represented at the 41st Annual American Lung Association (ALA) Corporate Cup! Participants ran a 10k, 5k, 1-miler and kidsâ run at Aksarben Village in Omaha on Sunday, April 10, raising $286,885 total for the ALA. We’re so excited to share the results of IAMS’ December fundraiser for Nebraska Humane Society: Our employees and friends raised $2,000 in cash donations and collected more than 200 items from the Society’s wish list! IAMS staff Scott Stieren, Lupe Cabral, McKinzee Abbott and Martie Beaumont were on hand Friday to present a check to NHS Special Events Director Gordon Krentz. Thanks, NHS, for the work you do to protect and save animals in our community!
IAMS employees held a friendly team fundraising competition in November for Youth Emergency Services (YES), an Omaha nonprofit that assists youth in crisis by providing food, shelter and safety along with a support system of programs and resources to help them flourish. On Dec. 6, our staff presented a $5,000 check to YES executive director Mary Fraser Meints to support their mission – thank you to everyone at YES for providing these much-needed services in our community!
We were proud to contribute $5000 to the Omaha Public Schools Foundation this year (2020), thanks to strong fundraising efforts by our staff as well as matching company donations and contributions from our executive team!
Thank you so much to all our IAMS staff and executives for another successful November fundraiser! Â Because of employee efforts and a company match, on Dec. 3 we presented a check for $5,000 to the Elkhorn Public Schools Foundation for their Kids in Need Fund. The fund provides district families in need with rent and utility assistance, gift cards for food and hygiene products, clothing, fees, school supplies, backpacks and more throughout the school year.
